Recently due to some technical faults with some of the air traffic control equipments most of the flights into London have been delayed. However the problems were recently solved so the problems were not farfetched. There are chances of a few more delay in flights as the aftermath of problem.
As per the reports, an air traffic spokeswoman told that the problem aroused due to the failure of few monitoring system, as a result the details of flights were manually organized which actually caused the delay. Even the backup system was too slow for processing the data of flights. However they apologized for inconvenience caused due to the delay of flights.
Even few other airports like Southampton, Luton, Gatwick and Stanstead had some of their flights affected due to this problem.
